How We Started
Our journey began in 2019, following the launch of the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP) by Nigeria’s then Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. A group of visionary women came together, recognized the opportunities within the red meat value chain, and invested in ranching—a sector open to all, regardless of gender. With determination and strategic planning, we formed Lady Ranchers Cooperative Multipurpose Society Ltd, officially inaugurated in 2020. Since then, we have remained dedicated to pioneering sustainable and profitable ranching practices, making a significant impact on Nigeria’s livestock industry.
Our goal is to provide hygienically processed and packaged meat and dairy products to meet the daily protein and calcium needs of Lagos State residents and beyond. With 20 female members, our cooperative brings together women from diverse business sectors in Nigeria and abroad, committed to transforming the livestock industry.
